Gluten free energy bites/balls...

Ingredients:
~Pitted Dates
~Almonds
~Organic Agave nectar (forgot to include in picture) normal honey would probably do the same.

I never measured any of the ingredients... I just 'guestimated' by the consistency.

~Blend a handful of almonds, a cup of dates & a few table spoons of agave nectar.

I used my smoothie blender to blend it so I was left with a chunky consistency but if you would like a smooth texture I would suggest using a food processor to blend.   Truthfully I couldn't be bothered getting my food processor out then cleaning it after so my smoothie blender was the easiest option.

Another option if you don't have a blender would be putting the almonds into a sealable food bag then hit with a rolling pin (quite fun) which will break them into small pieces. You could then chop the dates into small pieces then combine the almonds, dates and nectar into a bowl and mix with a wooden spoon.

~Once combined I used my hands and rolled the mixture into small balls.

~I then rolled them in either the coconut or cacao powder and placed them into the miniature bun cases.

Result - yummy bite sized treats:)

I could have also mixed the cacao powder & coconut throughout the mixture but I felt covering them in these ingredients gave a more appealing look.

Have you made anything similar to these?  If so I would love to know what you made:)

Stila overload...

Just take a minute to look at how beautiful this putting on the glitz collection is...

... this is how it orginally looked but I forgot to take a picture of it before I ripped it open! This picture is from the stila website.

It contains the following 8 colours;
~glamour~gleam~glint~glow~glitter~glimmer~glisten~glory~ and a rose gold headband

This retails at £27.50 and says it has a value of £93 (people are selling it online for double the retail price). Now wait until you hear how much I actually paid for it... £13.50! I was on the Marks & Spencers website on boxing day and couldn't believe the beauty products they sold.  As it was boxing day they also had an amazing sale and most gift sets were half price or less so of course I had to buy this.

I cannot wait to start using these glosses, have you tried Stila lip glazes before?

Hair care repurchases...

Loreal studio line wave creating spray - my hair is naturally wavy so I use this when I know I'm going to curl my hair the next day as it helps keep the curl.  This product also has heat protectant properties which my hair always needs as I have to use heat products every day to control my hair.

John Frieda 3 day straight - this is my all time favourite product for creating that super sleek straight hair look.  I spray it on my damp hair and the next day my hair straightens so quickly and can keeps my hair straight for up to 3 days (with straightners fixing the odd bit) and if my hair doesn't look greasy.

Vo5 nourish my shine bedazzling heat protector - as I said before I have to use heat stylers every day as I have unruly frizzy wavy hair.  This product has taken place over my old favourite tresemme heat protector as I feel it gives a sleeker look and feel to my hair.

Loreal studio line volume supersizing spray - I cannot live without this product, as I recently opted for shorter hair this product helps me create that messy wave/curl look and gives plenty of volume which lasts all day.  Superdrug recently had this reduced to less than £2 so I stocked up and bought three more... does anyone else see their favourite product on sale and automatically think it's never going to be on sale again!

Fudge urban iced raspberry & vanilla hairspray - I was getting fed up with all the usual hairsprays out there, especially their horrible smell. This doesn't leave my hair cunchy and doen't have nasty smell although I don't think it actually smells of vanilla raspberry either.

I would love to know what your favourite haircare items are?

Maybelline 24 hour color tattoo in creamy beige - I already have this product in permanent taupe, on & on bronze and eternal gold but this colour will be the perfect base for any eyeshadow.

Collection Extreme 24 hour felt tip liner in brown - these are currently on sale from £2.99 to £2.50.  These liquid liners are my absolute favourite and for me they last all day.  They also don't irritate my eyes and for £2.50 you can't go wrong, that's why I bought it in blue as well.

Loreal collection exclusive color riche lipstick in Eva's nude - these are currently on sale from £6.99 to £4.99.  How could I resist, the packaging is lovely and I'm obsessed with every colour of nude lipstick available so of course ended up buying it in Julianne's nude.

Revlon bold lacquer grow luscious waterproof mascara in 221 blackest black - this is currently on sale from £9.99 to £5.  I'm running out out my favourite grow luscious Revlon mascara and thought I would try this one.

Have you tried any of these products?
